Flowers 101

Three minutes
that save the box.

You just opened a box of flowers. They have been asleep in the cold for days. Here is how to wake them up so they last in your department.

Rule 1

Cut the stem

After days of travel the tubes inside the stem are sealed. A fresh cut opens them so the flower can drink again.

Rule 2

Clean water,
with flower food

A clean bucket, fresh water and the flower food. It lowers the pH, stops bacteria and feeds the bloom.

Rule 3

Keep it cold

Cool, out of the sun, away from heat. Cold, but never frozen.
